Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Ankelu ("the app") is a Tambola / Housie number caller and Snake & Ladder game. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it — in short: almost nothing leaves your device.

What we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no server-side database behind this app.

What's stored on your device

Voice announcements

The "announce aloud" feature uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine (the same one your phone or browser already has). No audio is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere — the number is only spoken locally through your speaker.

Third-party services

The app loads typefaces from Google Fonts over the network. Google may log standard technical request data (like IP address) when fonts are fetched, under Google's own privacy policy. We don't control or receive this data. No advertising or analytics SDKs are included in this app.

Permissions

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or files. It only needs normal internet access on first load (to install for offline use) and, optionally, notification/audio playback permission for voice announcements.

Children's privacy

The app is suitable for a general audience, including families playing Tambola or board games together. Since no personal data is collected from anyone, there is nothing collected from children either.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
